Acquiring the ISO 27001 Certificate – And what it means to our customers
What is ISO 27001?
ISO 27001 is the internationally recognised Information Security Management Standard that proves an organisation’s commitment to the security of their customer, employee and shareholder’s information. With ISO 27001 in place, CFMS are able to minimise risks to potential data security breaches and reduce errors and costs, while demonstrating credibility and trust.
What is the benefit to CFMS Customers?
The benefits of certification to ISO 27001 include:
- Proving to clients that CFMS keeps their information secure;
- Achieve operational excellence;
- Minimise risk of potential data security breaches;
- Reduces errors and costs
The purpose of this certificate is to ensure that there are adequate processes to lessen the risk of data breach. In essence, it’s tangible proof that we’re as secure as we’ve always known we are.
Working with certified suppliers, like CFMS, will also help our customers get certified themselves.
In some cases, having the certification is mandatory, for example, if you’re working with large corporations or if you’re bidding for governmental contracts.
This independent assessment was conducted by the British Assessment Bureau, a leading Certification Body, and demonstrates CFMS’s commitment to keeping our data, staff and premises secure.
CFMS has now earned the right to display the coveted British Assessment Bureau quality shield and ISO27001 logo to demonstrate its conformance to the standard.
